Wards XP 501

The Wards XP 501 is actually a rebranded Konica EE Matic Deluxe. This rangefinder camera has a selenium light meter that works well in my copy, with shutter priority auto mode, and a feature that keeps the shutter from firing is there is not enough light. It has support for a flash and also a self timer. The 40mm f 2.8 lens is a great performer. The metal body is solid with a quality standard of construction, and the viewfinder has a contrasty yellow focus patch.

I've shot one roll of Ilford XP2 Super 400 with my XP 501 that turned out quite well. This model usually sells for less than the Konica equivalent, as is common with these types of products. Here is more information: Daniel J. Schneider - Konica EE Matic Deluxe (Wards XP 501)
