The Reclamation series of 2014 references the fact that many of the panels are recycled from a refinishing project that I worked on.
Another aspect of Reclamation is how this series is the first work I created after the High Park Fire of 2012. I had some traumatic visual after images that these works helped to address.
I can see now how this series set the tone for a decade of automatic and cerebral process-oriented, abstract landscape painting.
