Observing what the world has to offer in terms of visual dynamics is the primary inspiration for my art. When it comes time to create my main objective is to be open and experimental with a strong connection to process and discovery. It is my hope that these efforts achieve a personal vision of the abstract landscape. At this time my primary media are acrylic paints intermingled with graphite and permapaque.
My sketchbook, digital tablet, and cameras offer a daily confluence of ideas, observations, and actions. This process helps to inform the larger scale artwork focusing on interpretive drawing and painting of my surroundings and past experience.
I enjoy the creative process and try to use each day as a stepping stone on the journey of discovery.
